FCC TO HOLD OPEN COMMISSION MEETING
TUESDAY, JUNE 9, 1998

The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on the subjects listed below on Tuesday, June 9, 1998, which is scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m. in Room 856, at 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.

SUMMARY: The Commission will consider action concerning proposals to ensure the accuracy and completeness of billing disclosures made by telecommunications carriers.

2 COMMON CARRIER TITLE: Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service (CC Docket No. 96-45).

SUMMARY: The Commission will consider action concerning the collection levels for the schools and libraries and rural health care universal service support mechanisms for the third and fourth quarters of 1998.
3 COMMON CARRIER TITLE: Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service (CC Docket No. 96-45); Access Charge Reform (CC Docket No. 96-262); and Petition of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Pacific Bell, and Nevada Bell for Waiver of Sections 61.44-45 of the Commission's Rules (CCB/CPD 98-19).

SUMMARY: The Commission will consider action concerning issues related to local exchange carrier recovery of universal service contribution obligations.
